Job, Flea Etc.
A very busy week has just past. Went on several job interviews...mostly agencies but did have a good interview up in Merrimack NH for Veritude which is a temp agency for Fidelity Investments. I had an initial interview and also was asked back for an open house. I should hear tomorrow on that one. Keeping my fingers crossed cause its good money and a not bad commute. Also got a call from another agency that I havent actually even met with. They want to place me on a job in Woburn. Im not crazy about the commute but after numerous phone calls on Friday, Im headed to the temp place early Monday am and then heading to the client for what they are calling a working interview. I will work and be paid for the day on Monday. If its a good fit then they will keep me. I guess they are very desparate for someone since they are taking someone sight unseen.
Depite the fact that M had to work Saturday am and his replacement was 45 min late, we arrived at the Fetish Flea around 1:30. We were both disappointed that we had cancelled our reservations etc but at the time with out me working it was the wisest decision. We were both pretty wiped out before we started but we had an awesome time and got some incredibly evil toys...hehehehe. Ran into a few old friends that I havent seen for a long time and also saw a few acquaintances. angelovernh ....I ran into JBear. He did remember that he had met me at your wedding. We just chatted for a moment though. Also, saw Percy, Allen (who I hadnt seen since Restraints days)and Dragon (who makes wonderful toys, furniture and accessories) We came home early, stopped for dinner at our favorite chinese restaurant and then played for the rest of the evening. I got to try out all my new toys and was in what M calls my giddy place. We have already decided that if they hold it in Mansfield again next year we are definitely going to book a room immediately and not make the mistake of cancelling early. If we had waited to cancel til a few days before we probably would have stayed there this time.
Im kinda freaking out a bit about working tomorrow but Im sure it will be fine. Hoping I get the call on the other job too.
