THE BIG ANNOUNCEMENT OF THE WEEK...

Nov 03, 2007 08:35

(RL friends - close ears now!)
Tigger is now completely obsessed with the amazing Heroes!
I love Peter, Claire, Mohinder, Molly, Michah... and even, in some twisted way, Sylar (probably more Zach Quinto than anything, LOL).

*ahems* Okay, I'm good now. I watched the first season in one lazy, lonely weekend a few weeks ago and I caught up on the second season - and now I'm hooked. It's so addictive and compelling, and it's got an absolutely AH-MAZING cast and crew, such a GLOBAL feel (which is so unique - and there's no stereotypes, everyone just is good music - but I think I love it most because it's just so intelligently made. It's based on the concept of genetics and human nature - and all the characters are so wonderfully real. Real people who aren't amazingly good or evil, just react and make decisions which have consequences.
But I'm sure most of you know this already, right?

My favorite episode was probably "Five Years Later" (?) - it was compelling and disturbing viewing (the political parallels were wonderful) and apart from the Peter/Nikki thing, so incredibly realistic.

Thoughts about Season 2... up to 2x06 "The Line"

I view the storyline of Heroes in "threads" - threads of characters and events that intersect throughout seasons.

Claire/West/California

I don't really like West. Sure - he's cute, a little bit strange and he's making Claire happy - but he seems... fake, somehow. Too perfect - and Claire's fallen for him way too fast.

I miss Zach, truth be told. Cute-as-pie and King of the Unpopular Zach - who was realistic in his loyalty as well as his immaturity. :)

Peter/Caitlin/Montreal

Huh? How did they work out how to get to that random warehouse in the painting? *scratches head* By the way - are we supposed to know who Adam is?

I miss season-1 Peter - that wonderful, idealistic boy - who's still trapped somewhere inside that lovestruck amnesiac who's trying to run away from his past. I understand why he is afraid and hesitant, but ... just waiting for the memory to come back. I want him to miss his brother and his niece and everyone who cared... *sighs*

And it weirded me out how quickly he trusted his initial kidnappers. *raises eyebrow*

But that last part? Hm - worried about the next episode, because it seemed really reminiscent of last season to me. I was really hoping they'd move on from the whole "bomb apocalyse save-the-world" thing. :( They'd been going SO well...

As for Elle - I'm waiting before I pass judgement on her, because whilst Elle sort of had me raising my eyebrows, I do love Kirsten Bell.

The Company/Mohinder/Mr. Bennet

Liking this. Really want to know what exactly is UP with the "Company" (and that freaking SYMBOL - which was over the building Pete saw) and what Nikki is doing working for them.

Loving Mohinder in this - he's really standing up for his morals (!!) for which I am so very proud.

Mohinder/Matt/Molly/The-Nightmare-Man/Nathan

Another really intriguing plotline they've opened up that I really want to explore. The photograph - the symbols, the deaths. I don't think it's Matt's dad that's killing them - but if he's not, then who is it?

How come all of their parents so far have been part of this group? Were they all some huge genetic experiment? And is, perhaps, Elle's dad involved somehow?

Even otherwise, Matt's dad is one creepy bastard - poor Molly!! LOVING the relationship between that gorgeous little girl and her two "daddies", by the way - every time Mohinder kisses her forehead it makes me want to SQUEE.

The Twins/Sylar

Sylar - Zach, my man, you haven't lost your touch at all. Still as chillingly creepy as ever. So does Sylar have the virus that Shanti and Molly had, then?

The twins - I've enjoyed their parts so far, but I'm waiting before I see whether they are characters that will really endure and inspire or not.

I really will shut up now. :)
And for those that may have seen my other post ... just ignore it, okay? Seriously.
