I feel like I finally have processed the events of the past two weeks to be able to celebrate the fact that I was able to do some awesome things, and things have the potential to be more awesome.
First off,
Screw glasses glare, its pretty sweet. I also have an autograph that says "Believe in your dreams"
and that I do, and will keep trying to do so. Dreams are a funny thing, cling too tightly, and they will dissolve, hold on too loosely and they will fly away. I end up using mine as a driving force. That extra kick in the pants when the light at the end of the tunnel turns into a black hole.
She spoke at Olin a few weeks ago. Turns out she grew up in Needham and played in the field that is now my school, her sister went to Babson and worked with people who are now at Olin and yeah, its called three degrees of separation. Over all excellent speech, and cool person.
Second off, Olin FIRST is getting more involved with the Boston area. I'm hopefully helping out a few more rookie teams, we're trying to do some more fund raising for Hyde Park, along with a few more tricks we've got planned.
Its going to be a good year. I'm starting to plan for next summer early enough that if things go sour, I'll have a back up or four.
Also, my suite rocks my socks. However the TV we got from the Wellesley dump that only really displays green and purple is sketchtastic. Degaussing will comence shortly, with much insanity to be had. (and I'm so a full time Wellesley student named Elizabeth right? Yeah.. )
Oh, and anyone noticed NASA opened up for a new astronaut class? Well, all you need is BS (check by when they are selected) and three years of experience (details, details, details). Its tempting to apply. Very tempting. I really don't put it past myself frankly. A nerd with a dream is a powerful thing.
