Saga entered the apartment happily. He was really in a good mood and all chirpy. He closed the door behind him and locked it, throwing his keys to the small basket that lay on the long table near the door. Tora looked up from the book he was reading and saw his lover approaching him happily with a wide grin on his face. Tora raised an eyebrow and put down the book as Saga sat beside him on the living room couch.
“Hi!” Saga greeted cheerfully.
“What are so happy about?” Tora asked amusedly.
“Hmm… let’s just say that Shou won’t bother me for the next couple of days ~” Saga answered in a sing-song.
“Oh? What did you do?” Tora asked curiously, turning completely to face his lover.
Saga was quiet for a bit. Should he tell Tora that he was hooking up Tora’s close friend with his ex? How would he react anyway? Wait… Did Hiroto ever tell Tora that he liked Shou? Saga didn’t think that far. Even so, he didn’t want to hide it and maybe discussing this with Tora would be a good idea. Saga took a deep breath and took both of Tora’s hands in his.
“Promise you won’t freak out?” Saga asked as he worried his lips.
Tora nodded.
“Did Hiroto ever tell you anything about Shou? I mean anything?”
Tora pondered and tried to remember. His head was tilted to the side and his eyebrows were furrowed. When he had none, he shook his head.
“Well… I’m… hooking them up.” Saga said hesitantly.
“What?!”
Saga was surprised at the loud tone that Tora uttered.
“Saga, are you crazy? Shou is an abusive person! I wouldn’t possibly let you drag Hiroto into this!” Tora said as he threw his arms in the air.
“But Hiroto likes Shou, Tora! He has been for a year now!” Saga reasoned as he tried to calm his lover down.
“How come I never knew about this? How come he never told me? We’re like brothers for God’s sake!”
“Maybe he couldn’t tell you coz he’s afraid if you’ll freak out. And you are now!”
Saga was right. Tora was freaking out. He was caught off guard knowing that his close friend-or can he say best friend now?-likes his lover’s ex; the person he didn’t want to deal with nor be friends with. If Hiroto and Shou ever got to hook up, he had to automatically be friends with that monster and Tora honestly didn’t know how to deal with it.
Tora took a deep breath and tried to calm down. Saga helped him then by rubbing his back simultaneously and kissed the elder man’s cheek. When Tora was calmed, Saga took his hand again and held it again.
“Look, I know you cared so much about Hiroto, but somehow I believe that Shou is not as abusive as he was before, Tora. Talking to him these past few days… I could sense that he changed. Besides, Hiroto likes him that damn much and I think it’s my opportunity-as selfish as it sounds-to get rid of Shou… You know, stopping him from harassing me. I’m desperate to be saved, Tora-”
“Wait, wait, wait, wait!” Tora held his hand in the air to stop Saga from speaking. “Desperate to be saved? What exactly did he do to you? He didn’t do anything crossing the line, did he? Because I swear Saga, if he did, I’ll punch-”
Tora was already fisting his hands and Saga held them.
“No! No! I don’t want you to use violence against him.” Saga said in a soothing tone.
He sighed and frowned. He told Tora about his worries and fears. Tora was surprised by that and he would be lying if he didn’t feel angry because he was. How dare he do that to his precious Saga? Now he knows how Saga felt. Shou was just too obsessed over Saga. The bastard would be dead by now if it wasn’t for Saga because Tora really couldn’t forgive his ex.
Tora sighed and embraced his lover, cuddling the brown-haired man’s head on his shoulder.
“Okay, I get it. I trust you. If getting them together is the best way for us then I’ll agree to it.” Tora said as he stroke Saga’s hair affectionately.
Saga looked up and smiled. “Thank you!” He cheered happily and kissed Tora’s lips. “Trust me, this will work out. Besides, Hiroto is a strong guy. He could make Shou obedient towards him. Unlike me, who could only complain and never fight back. That was why I was an easy target for him…” He sighed at the end of the sentence.
“And that’s why you deserve someone better… me…” Tora said amusedly and nuzzled their noses together.
“Cocky bastard…” Saga mumbled as he laughed.
Tora laughed along and circled his arms around Saga’s waist. “Now stop thinking about them and pay attention to me. You’ve been neglecting me all day…” He said and pouted.
Saga just smiled amusedly and climbed on top of Tora’s lap, straddling him. “My poor tiger. I have been neglecting you, have I?” He said as he circled his arms around the other’s neck.
Tora looked up and nipped at Saga’s exposed neck. Saga moaned involuntarily and moved his hips against Tora’s. Tora groaned when his erection was rubbed by Saga’s. He too then rubbed against him and they grounded their erections against each other while his lips were still busy nipping and licking Saga’s collarbone. Saga moaned lowly at the back of his throat as he felt the pleasure built inside him.
Tora finally landed back to Saga’s cheek and looked up. Saga’s eyes were already burning with lust and he captured his lover’s lips in a hungry kiss. Saga kissed back equally and slipped his tongue inside Tora’s mouth. Their kiss was hot and passionate, latching onto each other’s mouth like there was no tomorrow. They broke apart then when they were out of air, breathing heavily.
“Tora... Bedroom...” Saga whispered between his breathing.
Tora smiled lazily and stood up with Saga in his arms, holding him in place tightly before striding to their bedroom. He kissed all over Saga’s face while carrying his lover to the bedroom, making Saga giggle. When they arrived, Tora put Saga down gently on the bed before closing the door.

Saga walked along the long corridor of the campus with a big smile on his face. People would think that he might have gone crazy but Saga didn’t care. He was just too damn happy and couldn’t help but show it off. It has been a week and Tora was confused whether to feel embarrassed or happy about it. He was relieved that Shou wasn’t disturbing his lover anymore and he had to also admit that this mood somehow made Saga a little more...affectionate than usual. Whenever they go to campus together, Saga would stole little kisses and giving him more attention than he usually does. Tora just couldn’t help but be happy about it.
When Saga spotted Tora at the end of the corridor, he immediately pounced the man from behind, making Tora lose his balance but had the strength to prevent him from falling. Saga let go of Tora and giggled, making Tora turn with a rather annoyed look on his face.
“Saga! We’re on campus!” Tora chided.
Saga stopped giggling and smiled softly. “But I’m happy, Tora.”
Tora sighed. “Aren’t you a little exaggerating with this little victory of yours?”
Saga shook his head. “Nope. No one’s complaining, anyway.” He shrugged.
Of course no one’s complaining. People are practically avoiding you because they think that you’ve gone crazy... Tora thought dreadfully.
“Stop worrying!” Saga slapped Tora’s shoulder in a joking matter. “Let’s go get lunch, shall we?” He said cheerfully and circled his arms around Tora’s arm before dragging his lover to the canteen.
Tora decided to give in and untangled his arm from Saga’s hold in order to wrap it around Saga’s shoulder. Saga smiled briefly at the man before continuing to walk. They suddenly saw a heart-warming sight on their way and quickly stood behind a pillar to watch. There, on the bench in the garden, were Shou and Hiroto talking so comfortably with each other. Hiroto held a very huge smile as Shou laughed at what Hiroto said. Saga smiled at the sight and turned up to see his lover smiling as well. He turned again and watched.
“Lovely, isn’t it?” Saga asked a bit too dreamy.
Tora only grunted in response and turned around before starting on his heels to continue walking. Saga watched a little more before realizing that Tora had walked off. He turned as well and chased after Tora.
“Hey, what’s with that? I thought you were happy about them.” Saga said as he finally caught up with the other man.
“I am.” Was Tora’s short gruff answer.
Saga frowned and took the other man’s hand the dragged him to a less crowded spot.
“What’s wrong?” Saga was really concerned this time.
It took Tora a few minutes before finally sighing. “I’m sorry, Saga. I just feel uneasy, that’s all.” He finally admitted.
Saga’s frown went deeper. “You don’t trust me...?”
“No, no. It’s not that I don’t trust you... It’s just...” Tora trailed.
He was finding it hard to get the right words; to tell Saga that he doesn’t trust Shou and he didn’t want Hiroto to get hurt either, but on the other hand, he didn’t want to let Saga’s hopes down too. He was happy that his lover was finally at peace.
He decided to let go then and shook his head with a smile plastering on his face.
“Sorry, I’m just being paranoid, that’s all.” Tora said with a peck on Saga’s forehead.
Saga laughed. “Don’t be! C’mon! Don’t you finally feel at ease that Shou is finally off my back? No more worries for you!” Saga’s voice was practically cheerful when saying that.
Tora just nodded and Saga grinned. He took his lover’s hand again and they continued to walk. The uneasy feeling inside Tora didn’t go away though. The taller man was still anxious and he turned to take a final look at Hiroto before focusing on where he was going again.

Another week has passed and Saga was walking down the garden when he suddenly saw Hiroto walking not far from him towards the cafeteria. He smiled and decided to greet the other man. He walked to Hiroto with long strides and called him when Saga was near. Hiroto turned, a little baffled and surprised. The younger man smiled when he saw his friend standing before him.
“Hey! How are you?” Saga said with a smile.
“Hey, Saga! I’m great, thanks! It’s been a while, hasn’t it?” Hiroto said back somehow with fake joy.
Saga noticed it though. Hiroto’s smile didn’t reach his eyes and the most part he noticed was that Hiroto was avoiding eye contact with him. It was clear that Hiroto was forcing his cheeriness.
“Yeah, it has. How are things with Shou? It looked like you guys are getting there.”
Hiroto was silent for while, as if he was trying to avoid the topic. “We’re...good. How about you and Tora? Are you guys getting along well?”
Saga noticed the change of subject. Something was definitely wrong, Saga could feel it. Hiroto was acting strange and he wanted to know why. Did something happened?
“Of course, we are! I think he’s being uneasy about me expressing my happiness. He thinks that I was exaggerating.” Saga let out a whole-hearted laugh at the end of the sentence.
He stopped then when Hiroto just gave him merely a smile and Saga had enough. Something was definitely wrong and he was going to dig for it.
“Did someth-”
Hiroto hurriedly interjected Saga.
“I’m sorry, Saga. I have a class to attend to. It was nice meeting you!” He said as he walked away from Saga, too quickly for that matter.
Saga just stared at Hiroto confusedly as he walked. “But class just ended five minutes ago!” He shouted and Hiroto just turned slightly to him before sprinting away.
Saga frowned in confusion. That was really weird. Hiroto was definitely acting strange and something definitely happened. He started to walk away then, the confusion still going around his head.

The living room of their apartment was eerily quiet. Only the sounds of the keyboard being typed rapidly was heard. Tora glanced at Saga when the younger man suddenly stopped typing. They were both doing their assignments and although they were in different major, Tora agreed to try and help Saga with his assignments.
Tora turned fully to the other man when Saga completely stopped and sighed. The younger man put aside his laptop and leaned his head on his folded hand on the table. He stared at nothing in particular for a while before Tora interrupted his mind.
“Sagacchi, are you okay?”
The concern in Tora’s voice was thick and not long after, Saga felt a warm, affectionate hand resting on Saga’s head. Saga turned to look at Tora, eyes covered with glasses looking down on him with worry. Saga sighed again and inwardly smiled when he felt the soft strokes coming from Tora’s hand.
“Hiroto was acting weird today.” Saga stated simply.
“Hm?”
Saga finally sat up on the floor and turned completely to face Tora, losing the contact from Tora’s hand in the process.
“I met Hiroto after class, and he was acting very strange. He wouldn’t look me in the eye and he was somehow felt uneasy around me.” He confided and frowned. “Did I do something wrong to him, Tora?”
“Did you ever do something wrong to him?”
“Not that I know of. I mean, ever since our meeting, we never really get to talk... or... does this have something to do with my idea of hooking him with Shou?”
Saga was staring at Tora confusedly now; eyes narrowed and lips pursing. Tora just shrugged and returned back to what he was doing. Saga didn’t miss the flinch on Tora’s shoulder though; his lover was hiding something-or at least-knows something.
“Tora, you know what’s wrong with Hiroto.”
It wasn’t a question; it was more of a statement.
“I don’t know anything.” Was Tora’s flat reply as his eyes were still fixed on the laptop screen.
“Then look me in the eye and say it to me.” Saga’s voice was thick with demand.
Tora stopped typing and stayed still for a while, he hesitated but it didn’t show on his face. Saga waited, eyes sharp and face demanding. The elder man finally sighed and faced his lover again.
“You have to ask him yourself, Saga.”
Tora finally admitted in a very deep voice, and Saga knew that tone. It was a tone where Tora didn’t want to argue anymore but Saga was adamant, he wanted to know.
“Please, Tora, tell me.” Saga pleaded, but not too pleading.
“I’m sorry, Saga. It’s not my place to tell. You have to ask him yourself.”
“But I’m...” Saga tried to argue again but stopped uncertainty visible on his face.
“But what?” Tora was prying.
Saga sighed and looked down, fingers playing with the hem of his shirt.
“I’m scared, Tora. What if he was furious?”
Tora was actually mad about what Saga did to Hiroto, but seeing his lover like this made him worry and he could see how nervous Saga was. He learned that Saga was a person who is afraid of intimidation, let alone someone who is mad, furious, whatever emotion that deals with anger due to his trauma of Shou. It was also one of the reasons why Tora hated Shou so much.
Tora sighed and decided to take pity on him. He shifted closer then took Saga’s hand in his, stroking it in hopes of calming his lover down. He then let go of one hand in order to lift Saga’s face so that he could stare at the other man. It was clear that Saga was very concern. Of course, he and Hiroto had become close ever since they started dating. It was natural for Saga to be concerned if Hiroto was gonna blow up or not at him.
“Honey, listen...” Tora said, voice soft and affectionate. “I’m sure Hiroto is not going to get furious. He’s not that kind of person and you know it. So talk to him. You’re gonna be fine, I can assure you.”
Saga was still frowning. “Why can’t you tell me?”
Tora smiled and stroke Saga’s cheek lovingly. “It’s a personal matter. I promised him that I won’t tell.”
Saga looked down again and sighed. He let his body fall in Tora’s arms as if he was exhausted (which he actually was) and circled his arms around Tora’s waist.
“Okay, I’ll talk to him.” He mumbled through Tora’s clothed shoulder.
Tora smiled and hugged the other man back. “You’ll be fine, love.”
Tora kissed the younger man’s head and Saga was relaxed a bit. He was still nervous because if he was the one at fault, he could never forgive himself.
