Had a pretty fun 4th of July. The night before, my fiance and I rented some movies from Blockbuster. We rented 4 movies.
Cabin Fever- Was pretty gory and a bit over the top at times, but it was cool. The shaving scene really creeped me out, though.
Vampire Hunters- a cool kung fu vampire film. I need to take it back to BB though and get another copy, because the one we have gets really wonky right at the climactic end boss fight with the big foozle vampire.
Night Watch- Russian film about the "light side versus the dark side". Kind of like Constantine, but on a much lower budget.
Beyond the Wall of Sleep- Gods, if you could only return shit to BB that just totally sucked. We got this thinking, "oh wow, it's based on a Lovecraft story, so it should be pretty good." WRONG! We couldn't even watch past the first 10 minutes. It was just a mish mosh of bad acting, boring scenes of people talking to each other, and random flashes of Goddess knows what. Avoid this movie unless you are trying to torture yourself.
Anyway, then on the 4th, my fiances parents called and offered to take us to lunch, so we of course went. Then, while at lunch, they offered to take us to see Superman, and I was like "Hells yeah". That movie rocked. When the opening theme started and title credits started flying, it really took me back to when I was a kid seeing Superman 2 in the theater for the first time. And I thought the movie itself was really well done.
Well that was my holiday, for the most part.
