Drove down to Anaheim spent the night and picked up a truck with auto carrier the following day.
Monday Apr 30
Picked up the truck with auto carrier and drove to Baker picked up the Buick and returned to the bay area. Got in at 11:30 and was very tired and went directly to bed with out picking up $200.
Tuesday May 1
Returned the truck and got ready for Dish Network dealer show (Team Summit). My gun save arrived in the afternoon, this 900 lb steel box will keep my video and other gear safe from all but the most determined thief.
Wednesday May 2
Left for Texas to go to the Team summit and get checked in.
Thursday May 3rd
Spent the day in classes learning about new dishes, LNBF's and receivers. Dish is launching a new service called DishOnline. This is a service that allows one to download content over ones broadband connection to the DVR hard drive to watch later with their television. Sorta like pay-per-view over the internet. They also have Dishonline.com which is a new website service. HP is coming out with a Media Smart Server. It will allow content from several dvr's to be stored on the server subject to the DRM rules set by the content provider. Also shown was the software that allows content from the 622 DVR to be archived to a USB2.0 external hard drive. One last item I saw is a software upgrade that allows your ViP211 to function as a DVR by plugging in your external hard drive into the receiver via the USB 2.0 port. Well I am very tired so going to bed.
