Stardate 12.23.2010
Hey folks,
On winter break and in town at the library today, so I've shanghaied some wi-fi (don't get too excited, it was a beast and a half to get here in this weather). The new school router should be up soon, but I'm not sure that I'm actually going to get to reap the benefits of it since I'm pretty close to being done (in so much as late February CAN be close to done).
Not much to say, pretty tired and kind of glad I have a room to myself for a week. Trying to write, but I spend a lot of time dealing with my second cert test I should take after I do my last 5 weeks of clinicals in Jan (which I tech should have started, but things just didn't work out that way and most likely for the best).
They found me a work site that just transitioned to EHR and they want someone that makes the program look good (i.e. me). The only reason that I'm actually looking forward to it (besides the obvious) is that there's a new derm clinic attached and I'll get practical training for one of my poss specialities.
Christmas is in a couple of days and I thought about attempting one of those year-end posts that everyone does to look back, but honestly, its been so crazy that I don't think I can do one of those posts...at least not succinctly. Next year is a new adventure, so very different, and I hope to be back on...it feels abnormal without lj in my life-without some of you guys.
Ah well. Another week and a half of break.
Somebody promised to bring me a bacon-maple bar back from Portland with them and that makes me happy to think about.
Also, updated my mp3 player and get to play around with someone's shiny new Kindle. I want one, but I'm gonna wait and I may get a Nook instead. Apparently you aren't limited to amazon.com with the Kindle and that makes me happy because I had been told that you were.
We'll wait and see what happens, yah?
