Gosh

For being such a "lady of leisure", I've been a little lax this week. Especially since last weekend was so busy and fun!

Thursday night Hubbs and I went up to the Outlaws for the weekend, simply to say hello. We nipped out with the Mother-Outlaw and our neice Little J and went to see Anthony Gormley's Another Place on Cosby(?) Beach on Friday morning, which was really cool. I'll have to get the photos off the camera and actually put them up somewhere soon! It was kinda eerie - the beach was really quiet and featureless, and all you could see where loads of human shapes standing and staring out to sea. Really made you just stand quietly and look out across the estury and enjoy the solitude. Until a 16-month old neice runs up and wipes her nose on your leg, but hey, thems the breaks of baby-sitting :)

Friday night we went round to the BroandSis-Outlaws and drank quite a bit and ate a lot of Chinese food (not as good as our local down here, but still quite nice) and played on the Wii for a while.

On Saturday we chilled a bit, did a little painting and modelling that we'd brought up and Hubby helped to lug the Parent-Outlaws new fridge up the steps and into the kitchen (the delivery guys refused to carry it up) before we once more went round to the B&S-Outlaws for more drink and a pirate-based game :). More playing on the Wii ensued, and we made good use of our late birthday/early Christmas present to Bro-Outlaw - a second Wii controller and nunchuk, and the original Raving Rabbids game :)

We left handy on Sunday morning, and got back in time for a little painting work before getting ready for Vampire in the evening. Which I was somewhat worried about, but it all worked out fine in the end. Only the two player deaths, and things which could have head-fucked me didn't, so that's all good :)

What else...oh yeah - definately not getting any money from the Govenment again, despite having to drive into Yate, sit on a very uncomfortable chair for 20 minutes just to have a 30 second chat with an office drone and sign a bit of paper on Monday.

Tuesday was Stitch'n'Witch - awesome fun, and R was kind enough to make me a cheese and tomato sandwich because I'd not got anything for dinner :P

I went climbing with gedhrel and gigolohitman yesterday, and my arms are still not working properly. Painting is...challenging...

Tomorrow, Hubbs and I are off to Nottingham for the 40K Grand Tournament Heat, which I fully expect to fail at because I'm using my Tyranids, which I've never played in 5th Ed, and fully expect to not qualify. Still, it's a lovely weekend away (though hard work at the same time) and we're meeting up with friends in the bar on the Friday afternoon whom we haven't seen in ages, so that'll be cool. And boardgames with Jervis Johnson on Friday night. Yay!
