My week in brief
Monday, NerdCave as previously blogged.
Tuesday, climbing with gedhrel, purple_fire_ and misterwilson. Wasn't too bad on me in the end. I'm a bit out of practice, but the moves and flexibility (and the confidence - most important thing!) is still there. Will be going again on Sunday with the crowd.
Wednesday, spent my evening in a meeting with the other guys from the Bristol Vanguard games club, organising the upcoming years worth of tournaments. We have Vanquish in April, a new tournament we are going to introduce for Blood Bowl in (we think) July and the Spoils of War campaign weekend in August as usual. We also discussed rules and tweaked things about a bit. It was a good meeting - we got loads done and we all came away feeling more revved up than we have in a while.
Thursday, drove in to town straight after work. Bought myself a beautiful pair of climbing shoes at Ellis Brigham seeing as I was going straight past the door, and then met up with the Stitch 'n' Witch girls in Hotel Chocolat in Cabot Circus for a girly chat. Was slightly disturbed at how cliched the_smut_fairy and I got by discussing shoes in a chocolate shop! :-) Left there at 8pm feeling somewhat less healthy and more sick than I went in!
Tonight...a night in with the Hubby for a change! Looking forward to my sofa, DVDs, chinese dinner and snuggling :-). But first stop is to get rid of the slight headache I appear to have developed.
Plan for the weekend involves shredding hedge material, cleaning up Striking Scorpion models for the tournament in January and kit whoring for TK...
