Ding Ding! All aboard the FailBus!

Last night was made decidedly of fail. I was meant to go sewing, and sort out a small problem that I appear to have developed in my knitting, but as it was gloomy driving home from work, I turned the lights on in the car. My car doesn't have a buzzer when I open the door, and so I accidentally left them on for an hour.

And promptly drained the battery, so I couldn't go anywhere anyway! Sigh.

This morning, as the battery is still -almost- entirely flat (the dashlights come on but there's not enough juice to get the starter motor turning over) and therefore not able to charge itself off the turning over alternator, I drove Hubby to work and then got slightly lost in Westbury village. It's very pretty, but quite confusing! I was few minutes late for work, but it's no biggie.

Tonight I have to go and get Hubby again going via Halfords to pick up some jump cables, and then once I've got my car sorted I can go for a lovely long drive by myself exploring the little country lanes around the house and getting my battery full again. Looking forward to that, actually!

Completely and totally given up on the Demon entry that I've been working on for the last two months, and I'm sorting out a Warhammer Regiment that I first put in two years ago, after a little bit of prettying up and dirtying down. Four days to go... *starts biting nails*. Hubby is working on a second entry. He finished building it on Sunday - 40K single figure. One of the *hardest* sections of the entire competition! Still, the model is certainly looking up to scratch so far. I just hope that he can finish it without killing himself!
