Jobs and the rest

OK, so got an e-mail dropped into the inbox from this company in Queens Square saying thanks but no thanks. At least they were good enough to get back to me really quickly. Still nothing from the Patents place, and it's three weeks and counting. I'm not exactly holding out for it, but it would be nice to know! Then again, I sent the letter and CV to their Head Office in London, so it may be that they are the ones made of fail and not me.

So I have spent this morning trawling jobsite. I've filled out and sent off an application for an admin post at Tyntesfield House, the National Trust property which is fairly local. It would be sweet if I got it. I think I've got all the qualities they're looking for (and no spelling mistakes in the application this time. The most ironic one I've ever done is "I am a fast and acuate typist"...) plus it would be sweet getting to work in an historic property. Anyway, fingers crossed!

Got a few other jobs that I've got my eye on, including one for the University - I guess I can't rule out these guys, as long as it's not the School of Law - as a secretary to a Head of Department, and another in some consultancy agency in Clifton, both of which pay more than the National Trust one, but involve driving into and finding parking in Clifton.

I s'pose I'd better go get on with painting gedhrel's model now, if I want to get him finished by Saturday...
