bad flight
Neal is trapped at an airport in DC due to inept airport ticket operators. He got on a plane in Seattle last night around 11:30 and is still not in South Carolina. They had the nerve to tell him to calm down when Neal and his dad are trying to deal with a death and the airline fucked up the tickets. Don't forget it's daylight savings time, so that's 14 hours and counting in air travel. It's 3pm there, and the flight they gave them is at 4:30.
