Why is Google suddenly warning me that every single website IN THE UNIVERSE could harm my computer?
I love being home alone. Just sitting around with music on, doing homework at a steady pace, indulging in the occasional Wiki-ing, and allowing time to pass in a relaxing, yet plenty interesting fashion.
After a very productive violin lesson yesterday, I indulged and bought myself a copy of Bach's French Suites for piano and the Hindemith Violin Sonata Andrew and I played last February. (God, is it so long ago?) Today, I even have an excuse of sorts for going to a bookstore: I'm going to go pick up a couple of short biographies. Goethe and Schiller I can justify as preparatory material for my Klausur in the Dramatik des Sturm und Drang class; we'll see about some others.
The To Do List for the rest of the semester now reads:
- Finish paper on Wilhelm Meisters Lehrjahre (6 pages done; hopefully the required length will be 12 rather than 15)
- Finish typing up my notes from Dramatik des Sturm und Drang (4/12 done)
- Refamiliarize myself with four plays from said class
Items 2 and 3 will have to be done in the next 10 days, i.e. before the in-class essay on Feb 10th. The other I'll probably do in the week following. I am so glad that one thing they teach us at Stanford is how to write papers fast. I have no intention of letting this particular project sit on my desk any longer than I have to.
Off to the bookstores!
