Weekend of The Lacerated Boob

Jul 27, 2008 18:02

There are more dignified ways of hurting yourself than falling on your bike before you even get on it. Especially if the injury sustained is essentially a somewhat gruesome minor laceration of your poor, unfortunate left breast, which happened to get in the way of the end of the handlebars. I've been cracking jokes about my lacerated boob all weekend, though, which is fun. The sheer abundance of nerve endings in boobs, however, counterbalances this "fun" pretty heavily.

I just used my iTunes gift certificate to get Jon Nakamatsu's recording of Rachmaninoff's 3rd Piano Concerto and Rhapsody on a Theme of Paganini. He sizzles. As usual. Some people...

There's been a lot of "getting" lately - I also got the two silk dresses I had made in China. They fit quite excellently. The snaps that hold the black, sleeveless one shut in the skirt are a bit weak, though, so I have to be careful when I sit down. I may have to replace those with something "plus fort". The red one is very...umm...red, for want of a better way of putting it. It has golden dragons on it, though. I like. I got to wear the black one last night at our concert - which went very well, despite the fact that we were quite tired by the end of the Mozart No. 39 - and I managed to pop every single one of the snaps at least once, some as often as five or six times in the course of the performance. Despite all this I didn't end up scantily clad in front of the audience, though, which I consider a minor victory.
