All That You Can't Leave Behind

Just said goodbye to Andrew and Amanda, and to normalcy as I've known it for the past 2 and a half years. My French exam was like a last window into "real" student life - whatever that means - being closed behind me. I feel like I've been floating in this aether of bittersweet anticipation for days now, and I hope finally getting to England tomorrow will be cathartic, because I really need something to loosen this knot that's lodged in my throat. Stray thought: this is exactly how I didn't feel when Eric left after freshman year. I'm going to miss them. To (probably mis-)quote the Bard, "parting is such sweet sorrow, That I shall say good night till it be morrow." Only I'll have to spend the better part of a year saying goodnight. Thus my year of adventure begins both in joy and sadness.
