recappification
1. I am now in Iceland, and will be until the 21st of September, when I head back to California for my Junior (a.k.a. 3rd out of 4) year in college. I seem to be pretty much over the jet lag. Should go to sleep immediately, though...I just started writing this at 2 am.
2. I'm a miserable blogger. I know. I just happen to be so busy out there that I practically fall into bed at night. This next year I plan to set aside a weekly time to blog, and just take the time out of my schedule to let people know what's going on. Thing is, I don't even have the excuse that nothing interesting happens to me...the real problem is that too many interesting things happen to me, and I'm kept so busy with the happening that I don't get much of a chance to do the retelling.
3. Saw...well, pretty much everyone at a LARP tonight at miriamg's place. T'was quite delightful, although it pretty much descended into chaos towards the end of the evening when sarahblack went on a Vampire biting spree, turning myself, luzifer_, lisahlin and Heiðar into her vampire slaves and forcing us to do everything that she told us - but neglegected to tell us that we shouldn't harm her. We then turned on her and killed her, sending her back to the spirit world, but she had already hidden the Hammer of Thor that we were looking for, and didn't tell anyone where it was, so we couldn't retrieve it. Waah! Brought my sister along as well, and although she unfortunately landed somewhat of a loner role - some sort of secret agent / spy - which didn't help in a situation where she hardly knew anybody, she still had a pretty decent time as far as I can tell.
4. I'm going to try to post a couple of entries detailing where I am in research, in life, and such over the course of the next weeks. Yay blogzies and free time!
5. Am currently reading the Count of Monte Cristo, which is amazing. If you haven't read anything by Dumas, do do do! The Three Musketeers are also excellent, and were my absolute favorite book when I was about 7 to 9 years old.
