A'ighty. I have my plane tickets home, no thanks to effing Æsland-er dott komm, and have successfully navigated my way through seamless.usgs.gov (which is flipping awesome, by the way - more on that later). Oh and also: there be funding for me for research next summer, so I'm going to be staying here for pretty much the whole summer to work on my project! Yayzies! I'm going to miss you guys, though...
Am packing my bags for this weekend's field trip with GES 102DEATH (the new unofficial course number) to New Idria, an abandoned mercury mine about 2 hours south of Stanford. Am moderately excited, as I hear it's a really good trip, but the excitement is damped by the fact that I have no clue how I'm going to make up all the work I'm going to miss by being away for a whole weekend. Then again, most of my work is for 102, so perhaps it won't be so bad. Hm.
Up next week:
- Halloween concert (Stanford Symphony and Wind Ensemble)
- Acing (read: surviving) the 102DEATH midterm
- More research
- Updating
mariahelga regarding research
- Updating above journal with photos of mein Haus!
And now...meme.
