My tai chi teacher was all sympathetic - I shouldn't push myself too hard, not to worry about the turns, take it gently. This is not, by the way, because of my shoulder which is throbbing (apparently, the movements are unblocking the blockages), but because I'm pregnant.
There are two deadly insults to give a woman. One is to comment on the size of her arse, the other is to suggest she's pregnant when she's merely fat.
But how do you react? Either you say "No, it's just fat" and show her up to being a tactless and short sighted bitch with no people skills or you say "Yes, a little" and then you're committed to finding out some scenario by which a baby can honourably disappear.
And of course, the logical thing to do is go home and stuff as much food as possible.
And, of course, lose a bit of weight. Is this what fat women have to cope with? If so, it sucks!
