Today marks mine and Philip's anniversary of 3 years and it feels like it's only been 1 year but also feels like I've known him all of my life. I have an exam in the morning, so I am looking forward to taking the puppies to the park, eating dinner, and relaxing at the house with some beers.
Oh yeah, we rescued a puppy. Her name is Reiven and we have no idea what kind of dog she is, which means that we also don't know how big she is going to get. I'm hoping that she is chico's size. Its actually been a rather trying/expensive experience having her. She had worms and was so malnourished that a lot of her hair was missing. She is extremely wild, and about a week after we brought her home, I was starting to wonder if we had adopted a shark, rather than a puppy. She's learning though, and it has been a lot less dangerous to cuddle her lately, meaning, she doesn't try to rip my hands off anymore.
The semester is almost over and I have just one more test to take tomorrow morning and a workshop on one of my creative writing pieces after that. I'm not really looking forward to it because my story had so many loose ends. I didn't really have time to work a lot of things out and I already hear some of the critiques that I'm going to get.
I thought this would be my last semester before I go to UCF, but we really need financial aid for this summer, which means I need to take classes. :/ But on the bright side, I can start earning that Art Degree. I'll be taking Selected Studies in Ceramics and Design 1. I'm glad that I have one more semester of Ceramics because this semester was a bust. I was supposed to make a bunch of hybrid animal sculptures, but went wheel crazy in the beginning and then ended up not having enough time to work on my sculptures because we moved and I got a job. So, I only have one sculpture to show for this semester, a "Snuck" and a bunch of bowls that look shitty now because the glaze didn't turn out right.
Before I gave him duck feet.
So, this summer I think I'm going to really focus on wheel throwing and glazing. Almost every piece that I made and really liked has been ruined by my simply not knowing enough about the glazes that I'm working with.
Anywhoo... I'm off to the puppy park with Philip. Until next time... next month or so, I guess. Whenever I get another chance to waste time on the internetz. :D
