New music, New pursuits, Say Goodbye to Summer

I haven't been posting because the internet sucks in my apartment. But now we haz internetz. yay! So if anyone was wondering why I never responded to comments, that was why. Sorryyyyy!

I've been suffering from catchy tune syndrome. Since my CD's are so outdated, I've succumb to the ever infectious tunes on the radio. For the past few days I've had "She Wolf" and "Party in the USA" stuck in my head, randomly repeating and reverberating at unexpected moments in the day. Luckily, Liz has wonderful taste in music and knows lots of awesome indie bands. So, now I have:

The Organ
The Sounds
The Killers (Hot Fuss)
Cold War Boys
The Clicks
Bedouvin Soundclash

Still getting acquainted but I have a feeling that we are all going to be great friends.

I painted Philip an awesome picture of Chico for his birthday. I don't mean to brag, but it's pretty sweet. I'm really proud of it. I even captured the fuzzy orange tips of his ears and the gimp shape of his right ear. Will post soon.

I'm really nervous about school starting next Tuesday, especially since I was just getting used to having a lot of free time on my hands and actually accomplishing projects. Now I will have to put good ideas and friends off again. The good thing is, though, that now I'm in creative writing, so I will be forced to actually finish my writings.

Speaking of free time. My Nanny family kinda let me go last Thursday. :( They are apparently having financial issues and can no longer afford me on a regular basis. But the nice thing was that he paid me two weeks in advance on top of my regular pay and didn't ask me to work the two weeks so I could go find more work. I'm sad that I won't be seeing the kids as often but I think this might be a nice change of pace for me. I will be forced into more social interaction, which I think I might need considering the heavy reclusive study schedule that I will be taking on. I applied at a really awesome gaming facility and I am just waiting for a call. They interviewed me a few months ago, liked me, but didn't hire me because I was only available 3 days a week. Now I'm available every day! So I really hope I get it this time. The place is awesome and I have a feeling that they've really been bombarded with applications since they listed that they are hiring again. I think my best bet is to go in tomorrow and actually speak with the owner again. Maybe after he sees my face some more I'll have better luck. *crosses fingers and toes*
