Ahhhh... The semester is finally over...
I just have one more performance on Sunday (Mozart Requiem) and a Humanities test on Monday (Islam, China, and Japan) and then I'm done till next month. :) I'm so happy that I could roll in dirt.
My Jury for applied voice was yesterday and the outcome was completely flipped from what I thought it would be. We are supposed to pick one song to present first, then a professor picks the second song from our pool of repertoire. The one that I picked and thought would be spotless went horribly. Half way through it, I suddenly skipped a few measures of words and then couldn't find my place again! Aaaahhhh! That NEVER happens! WTF??? Then, for the second piece, they picked my worst song and it was perfect! Even better than any of my practices! I don't get it...
I got a fat check in the mail yesterday from that poetry contest that I entered. I'm so excited to have also won a scholarship to take creative writing next semester! Something that I've always wanted to pursue but I guess never really had the guts until now. I can't wait to see where this leads me.
I've come to the conclusion that the ladies at the Financial aid desk, at school, are idiots. They never know what they are talking about, because nothing is ever as they say. They said that I had exhausted my aid for this year and I'd have to pay for this summer out of pocket. I insisted that they look into it, so, they sent me to see a gentleman in the back, who, without any questions asked, printed out my schedule with a zero balance and more than enough money for books in my student account! Wow!
I am so excited about summer. I have a feeling something big is going to happen. I can't put a finger on what, but I have a feeling that it's going to be significant.
