Most likely it is innocent fun, but if we are to believe the critics and their wild accusations it means that sad boy will grow up with a gender identity problem. People are crazy homophobic sometimes! I am a pediatric nurse, and for infants under 6 weeks a rectal temp is most accurate. One dad flipped out on me, said I was trying to turn his son into a fag, and threatened to beat the shit out of me! I wanted to point out that he had probably had a thermometer up his ass at least once in his knife but thought better of it ;)
