the pros and cons of rain
welcome to winter in california. rain, rain, rain, & some more rain. considering the alternative of snow and ice, rain is really not all that bad. then again, considering the alternative of perfect weather all year (aka hawaii), rain kinda sucks. so, with rain on my brain, i shall now consider the pros and cons of rain. feel free to comment and add your own. cause i'm sure i'm missing some.
PROS:
free car washes
free watering of plants
lack of droughts in future years
puddles to jump in
the smell
excuses to stay in with a hot cup o' soup and cuddle up and watch movies all day
rainbows (have yet to see one there though ...)
makes trips home to hawaii more enjoyable because i get to leave the rain
cute raincoats & galoshes
thunderstorms (i've warmed up to these. they used to scare me. now they ROCK)
CONS:
lack of sunshine
frizzy hair
increased car acidents due to jacka$$es that don't know how to drive in the rain
wet clothing (could also be a pro ... but only at appropriate times ... like jumping in puddles)
only option to workout is at the gym
seasonal affective disorder (the other S.A.D.)
acid rain is kinda sucky
flash floods
trenchfoot
runny makeup
