and the yearly tradition continues? ...
... so, every year since I started college, I've gotten a cold during the middle of fall semester. That cold pretty much lasted until spring; sometimes leaving for a week or so, only to return with a vengance the next week. Last year, it lasted until 2 weeks after graduation. (If any of you remember that person who was coughing up a lung during the keynote speaker ... that was me.)
For the past few days, I've had a sore throat. Today, runny nose AND sore throat. This better clear up before Asliomar, cause I've gotta represent for Immuno and join the Polar Bear Club.
In other news, our genetics professor today decided to take a tangent and talk about the Kansas School Board Intetlligent Design ruling. Sigh. Nothing like 80 scientists in a room talking about ID. I think it's a great thing to discuss among scientists, don't get me wrong. I just think that it would have been great to do it at some other time - say, not in lecture - so that we can get out of lecture on time.
