Fuckin' Irene
I survived Hurricane Irene. Mom, Dad, and Mike are also doing just fine, we came out of the hurricane with minimal damage. The only thing that happened was a tree falling across the common drive, and leaves everywhere. Other than that, the only thing I can complain about is the power situation. We lost power around 5 AM Sunday, and still don't have it back. They say we'll have power back in 5-7 days. In all honesty, no electricity isn't such a big deal, it's the water part that's hugely annoying. We have a well, so when the power goes out, we have no water. No washing anything, no showers, no flushing the toilets. Not too bad for a couple days, but it starts to get gross when we're talking a week of this.
Anyway, that's where I stand at this point. I hope all of you came out of the hurricane similarly unscathed, and that everyone who is without power gets it back ASAP.
