It's your long-lost commenter Jude. The husband and I are very jealous (mostly me) of you trip. I visited a friend in February in Yukon Territory--not far from White Horse--(which was the nearest BIG city) and I loved it. I am going to medical school and hope to get a rural health contract to go to AK when I am finished. I'd like to do a two year family medicine stint in Middle-of-nowhere AK, particularly on a reservation.

Hi there!!! Driving through the Yukon this time around was the first time I had been there. Kluane Lake was sooo pretty!

RE living in Alaska, Do it. You'll NEVER regret it! I loved the experiences I had and the perspectives it gave me, and can totally see myself living there again in the future :-)

How do you know the Chinese food was authentic? They didn't have mu shu on the menu. That and the large tanks of various sea life.
