i protest!

i protest going to war against afghanistan. do we need to take revenge upon a whole country for the wrong-doing of a few? why would we send our younge men and women off to start a fight with another counrty. why do we get to make that decision? they send their innocent soldiers to defend their country, their home, while we shoot them down. how is this just? how can we rationalize this? is there a way to rationalize that decision?
i don't think it is just to go to war against an entire country just to get "revenge" or to prove that we are stronger. do we really need to flex our military muscles? what does this prove? we are strong in forces but weak in mind? that we can crush our enemies but not try to make peace? or maybe our efforts to make peace were not whole-hearted and sincere enough.
i will protest tomorrow against this possible war. i will protest with many others against this war. our voices alone are whispers but together we can make shouts. together we can make a difference.
