He shuddered and whimpered beneath her hands, reached to touch her and then woke, heated and irritated and resigned because those dreams always ended that way, right before the good part, and it wasn’t fair.
A ghost of movement beside him- she was awake, he realized, a heartbeat before she spoke. “Bad dreams?”
“No,” he grumbled. “Too good. You were in the middle of something.” He reached over, touched her face, felt her smile.
“Oh, really. Just as long as you understand I need to be out of bed in two hours.”
He chuckled. “I think we can manage that.”
