why the fuck does the government tell people to put of gas masks and tape up shitty little plastic sheets to protect themselves if there was ever chemical warefare or if Millstone just randomly blew up? They know (or should know) that that doesnt do shit! The only radiation that can be blocked by plastic and gas masks is Alpha particles, however, you still have the Beta particles and the Gamma Radiation to worry about, which will come about from nuclear radiation. Beta particles can be stopped by thin metal and the only way to stop gamma radiation is by a thick sheet of lead. So what the hell is the governmets problem, telling us to just surround ourselves with plastic sheets, taping it up with duck tape, and endorsing the use of gas masks when neither will do shit in chemical warfare?!
