(no subject)
Well I had a pretty good weekend...spent most of saturday in bed which is always a good way to kick off a weekend. Also spent a fair bit of time pacticing my snooping skills with the new law and order computer game - which is frustrating me for several reasons the biggest being the fact that it has a tendancy to crash whenever i haven't saved for a while.
Sunday I went to the zoo with phil and nat to check up on the wombat i sponser and had a fantastic day.
Its spring so the zoo is full of baby animals :), the two new lion cubs are exceptionally cute (and phil was very excited to learn they were born on his birthday) but it was the gorillas that had me fascinated. There is one little baby gorilla and two toddlers and it was so cool to watch them playing. The baby kept trying to get off mums back and go play with stuff and she kept having to pick him up and put him back whenever he tried to escape while big daddy silverback was lying down watching the two toddlers play with each other...I gotta admit it made me rather maternal! I was looking at the baby clothes in the zoo shop with longing afterwards lol.
Speaking of the zoo shop we all went a little nutty in there after we finished, I got a toy wombat and a very cool 'giraff in a box' (if you ever had a jack in a box as a kid this is the same except its a giraff dressed up as a clown - very cute.
