2 days to birthday
8 days to lay off
13 days to jury duty
I renewed my driver's license yesterday and went grocery shopping and realized that the Boston Market frozen dinners I had been eating and thought were really tasty were freaking sodium bombs. Jeezus those things are ridiculously high in sodium. Guess I won't be eating those anymore!
Not that I was much better that night since I put too much seasoning salt on the hamburger meat I was cooking and the whole dinner came out tasting salty. *sigh* Well, live and learn. Next time I'll know better.
The boss came by yesterday and asked if I was busy. He's kidding, right? I haven't been busy since the day after they announced they were shutting down 99% of the company and laying all of us off. My customers were launchING, not launchED, so stopping the launches more or less ended my workload. Now he's realized that I and my coworker are here for another 8 days with nothing to do and he doesn't want us to just sit around. Mind you, there really isn't anything TO do. We successfully managed our accounts into transition and now they're gone. Our call centers are closed. Aside from the periodic project management meeting or report, my day consists of me practicing my coding skills by working on my own projects.
I hope to goodness I can find a good, interesting job soon.
