Lots of stuff.....Some Good.....Some Bad
WOW! I didn't realize it had been so long since I posted. There's a lot going on right now, both in academic life as well as my personal life and in the world in general.
Well, let's start with the hurricane news. Everyone in my family and all my friends are O.K. Some of them have damage, but nothing that can't be fixed or replaced. I spent the huricane with my family in St. Francisville. Ms. Rhonda and Leslie came to ride it out with us, becasue LaPace wasn't safe. That was kinda hard, I thought about Lee a lot. I forget how much he looked like his mama until I see her and it always takes my breath away. I still really miss him and am beginning to understand that it won't get easier. That's the biggest load of crap I"ve ever heard when people tell you that it just takes time and it'll get better!!!!
As far as school goes....I really love my photography class, teh only thing is....I'm having difficulty finding time to shoot and process. I'm beginnign to think that I'm gonna just have to suck it up and do wthout something...probably sleep since things have picked up elsewhere in my life. (See below)
I have a date tonight.......Let me say that again... I HAVE A DATE TONIGHT. I"m actually pretty excited (for lack of a better word) I met him through my brother (paul) and he's a musician. He playes with Paul and I've been going and singing with them at a kind of Open mic night on Wednesdays. Well, Last wednesday he gave me his number and told me to call him so maybe we could get together without my brother watching out every move. Last night I went to hear them play at The End of the Line (i.e. the end of the world.....out in the middle of F****** NOWHERE)and we set plans to do something tonight. I'm suppsed to call him midday to finalize them. I haven't known him that long...so I don' exactly know how I feel about him, but I know that we have chemistry. There's really no denying the sparks that are flying. So we'll see. But like I said, I'm pretty excited. oh, BTW, Paul is not happy about this. he doesn't exactly know that we have a date, but he has told him that I'm kinda off limits, so we're not telling him. There may never be a need to, this may go nowhere, but if it does, then we'll cross that bridge when we get there.
Well, lots to do today.....baking for Natalie's baby shower Tomorrow...nap, and a date, so I gots to go. Check ya later!
