A little kindness can have a big effect
I am feeling very very touched at the moment at the kindness of some of the people in my graphics comm fluidic_icons. My paied account was set to run out this week and due to financial constraints and the theiving, skanky actions of my ex housemates who forced me out of my last place of residence, I was wondering if I could truly afford such a non essential expence. I decided to try an idea I had been toying with for a little while and introduce a "loved list" of special graphics and icons for any member of my comm who gifted me some paied account time. I was hopeing that three or four people might be willing to help me cover part of this years cost. I put up the post suggesting this idea yesterday and have been shocked when I checked my e-mail to find that no only had a number of people gifted me a couple of months, but that a few had gifted me six or twelve months! It was a wonderfull surprise to find this kindness. I have been feeling a bit down recently and like I had to just lump the fact that life was being kina shit for me. These acts of generosity from these few people have made me feel uplifted. It has restored a bit of my faith in humanity that there actually are decent, kindhearted people out there, who are willing to help out a relative stranger when needed. <3
