Rowing Achievement!
Yes! It's finally happened. I had a good day out on the boat. It still took a while for me to get used to the boat, but I caught on a lot quicker than Wednesday! I'm feeling so GOOD today!
Rowing for the whole boat sucked today, though. We could never get all eight of us on the same rhythm. It was mucho suck. A lot of the girls were really frustrated from it. I was too happy from getting the rowing right for once.
When we were putting up the boat, they wanted us to put it on the trailer. We were being guided by our cox, Mike, and the coach, Laura. We were on our way to getting it when the cox that I first encountered my first day on the boat decided to start barking orders to us as well. Laura told him to stand down because she was giving orders. Then we started to mess up and Aaron started to yell at us even more! Laura got really mad at him at this point. She eventually just told us to take it off the trailer and put it on the rack. It was suck because she didn't want anyone else to help us, and we couldn't get it. We were so close. I don't mind Aaron yelling when he is our cox, but when he's told to not say anything, that's when I want to slap people.
On a great note though, I can't say how great it is to row. One of the best parts is that I get to see the sunrise three days a week. You really know that life is great when you see a sunrise. I know that sounds cheesy, but I promise that the continuous experience just gets better.
