positive developments in my life
-my three hour african history class was canceled tonight. so what if i had to travel for an hour to show up to find out the teacher wasn't coming? at least he never came, right?
-my roommates are awesome. i've never had this much luck living with people. maggie was great, but we kind of drifted apart for a while there. me and emily and mari are a fantastic trio! mari is the best stranger i ever met - she's just so sweet and thoughtful - it's really nice. and emily is my little midget counterpart (as darius says) whom i love so, and who helps me keep the apartment ohsoclean. holla to great apartments and even better roommates! and to all of you who read this - i have a huge apartment so you should all come visit me in chicago before i'm goooone.
-i got a new job today! in a restaurant, even though i have no experience. i made the lady laugh at the interview so i think that's why they hired me. anyway, that's really awesome. for all you in chicago, come visit me at chicago joe's! it's on irving and oakley...i think i'm serving but i'll find out for real tomorrow.
and man, it's still really cold here. but i realized that i'm okay with the cold as long as it's sunny, which it has been, so winter has been a whole lot happier this year.
