i'm taking a very short hiatus from chicago, i'm in detroit now with my family, got here last night and i'm leaving tomorrow morning. i spent all day yesterday waiting for and missing buses and waiting for and taking trains, i even went to a prom for my mom's students when i got here last night. i was on 2 hours of sleep and ever so exhausted, and the result is me being online for the first time in nearly three weeks. i've decided i like being disconnected. [as i type on livejournal, ha ha].
everything is still going amazingly, the silence has grown to saying it aloud, saying everything aloud, practically shouting it from the rooftops. being in love is great, it's more than i ever thought it would be, and it's intense as hell. everything about this relationship is intense but all in a good way. in fact, it's funny because we're everything i ever hated in couples before him. cuddly and touchy and feeley and gooey and gushey and lovey and loving. we seem to be those people, but no one seems to mind except me (and the occassional comment from alyssa "you guys are so cute it makes me want to throw up"). my dad once said years ago that when you're in love, you can't do anything else, and lord that's true. this is the first two nights away from him i've had in a row since i've been in chicago. fucking-crazy.
now that i've gushed and all i'm gonna go jogging (or yogging) with my grandpa who's in detroit also. baseball game tonight of the best team in the league, chicago again tomorrow, i need a cup of coffee.
