I got back from work and a friend of mine was here for a while. It’s too late and I should really be sleeping now so I’ll do well on my tests tomorrow. good luck, me! I cant fall asleep, so here we go again…
work was fine, tho it was the longest shift ever and its been kinda messy all along cuz they have replaced the old devices, tools and grillers or w/e that is with new ones this morning and it was hard to get use to all this new equipment but it was also kinda funny “wow Yael, you have to see that. I don’t know what to do now and I think I have just hurt myself…” like 20 times for a minute.
im so fucking tired. i dont have school til monday! tomorrow is Tel-aviv! (a big fat YAY for that), then tomorrow night i might be going to this nice party in a cute little something called club... no school on friday, and then im having my final citizenship exam on monday so no school on sunday for me too! :) (we get a day off to study for each final)
THAT'S IT ..
I just have to admit that I have this ridiculous weakness for Americans!!
I mean, we have all those cute American volunteers in school and I love talking to them + they all just love the Burger Ranch so I get to see them not only at school but also at work very often, and I pretty much remember all of them, not by their names but by looks for sure.
but today while I was working I met new faces, LOL (or maybe I was just skipping school for too long)... at the second they walked in, I figured they speak English, and I was almost excited in a funny way to talk to them. I took their order (with a nice big smile) and one of them was like “wow Sam, she actually knows english. (umm it’s not like all Israelis are retarded or something!!!) ,You should take advantage of this” yea, and they were also cute.
I was like I have a friend name Sam, tho he’s from Michigan but still… so Sam was like “yea I have a friend from Detroit too, you might know him. His nickname is Eminem.. so I asked him to say hi for me.. and then I asked for their names (its not what you think. It was for the order!) Sam, Scott and Jim (well im not so sure about the last one).. they were joking about me asking, and one of them was like “do u also want my phone num with that or can I have yours?“
My manager was impressed by my English and was like: “you go girl. I see your summer program was really worth it (umm more than you know…), now I’ll send all the Americans (tho later I found out that two of them were british… lol) to your care “ - ummm yea right, like taking an order of hamburgers or meals in English can be so complicated. w/e..
Lucky me, after a long discussion they’ve decided to take the nearest table to the cash register. you know, that way I could get more details and stuff… + I was so damn bored.
So after a quick first check “where are u from?” “me? Oh, they’ve just found me on the street on their way here …” “oh really? Yea I think I saw a few more like you out there this morning. So where are u originally from?” “oh, the U.S”. I was like: “really? I couldn’t tell.. tho now it make sense.” He was just playing around for a lil longer. He was actually from Boston (I think…) and the other two are from London. They are 18 and in Israel for one year of volunteering. they are staying in Nazareth illit for the next two weeks (I was right, I’ve never seen them before cuz they’ve just got here), and They like Israel. That was all I managed to get, cuz unfortunately, I had to take other ppls orders (u know, ppl actually come to eat there…) so I couldn’t ask what program is that or if they are about to get into my school soon, if they are at all. They came again twice later (once to get ice-cream and the second one was to ask about the big green Sherek’s (you know, like Oger..) that we had hanging on the walls and if they can have one of them (umm… yea right..) LOL
That was so amusing. Scott said they’ll drop by again later if they’ll have a chance but they didn’t. I have a feeling I’ll get to see them again soon either by the cash or in school.
i love americans
now i should get some......
sleep.
