Want to know what I got for Christmas?
First off, Christmas didn't feel like Christmas this year. One of the true signs that getting older sucks. As a kid, Christmas was full of joy. Now, it's more of a hassle trying to get the perfect presents for everyone. I hate it---not the buying presents part (well, a little), but the loss of childhood wonderment towards Christmas. I hope I made sense.
My family makes a big deal out of Christmas Eve. We had a huge dinner, lots and lots of wine (yay), and crazy dancing. Wonderful way to celebrate the holiday. We opened presents at midnight--Christmas Day. By the end of it, I got interesting stuff--sunglasses, earrings, a bracelet (I sense a pattern), two shirts, and a necklace. Well, at least I didn't get a sweater. I hate when people give me sweaters.
My parents bought me Super Mario Galaxy and Resident Evil 4. I didn't have a Wii until yesterday. Yes, I'm one of the lucky people that got a Wii for Christmas. Great. That means I won't have to be searching everywhere for it. I don't want to sound ungrateful, but I have to say that I really wanted a PSP. I ain't complaining, though. The Wii was so hard to find, and I know that some kids probably didn't get it for Christmas. Meh, I can buy the PSP for myself that is if I had the money. Another reason to get a job, ASAP.
Overall, Christmas wasn't bad. Now time for New Years. Yes, please let 2007 be over now.
