Its officially been a week and a few hours since I moved to my new home in the great city of Tallahassee.
My roommates are cool thus far. The bus is the most adventurous, most time-consuming activity ever. Plato's Closet is a gem. There are about 100 good Goodwills. Wax hands and Henna tattoos are worth waiting in line for 2 hours when they're free apparently. Green tea is awesome. I stay up too late. The music building is one sweaty walk from Landis. Mary's balcony is the coolest hangout EVER. The laundry room is a good place to make friends. The REZ isn't that amazing, but I'm better at Ping Pong than I realized.
Today was really the first day I felt completely comfortable and excited for the year ahead of me. Mary and I went shopping for various uneccessary, secondhand items and then met up with Chris, Lukas, and Mike for the Polyphonic Spree concert. The concert was unduly long. But icecream in Chris' room with Mike, Chris, and his suitemate, Eli, was really fun. Patching Chris' wound, cleaning carpet, trying to unlock a door on the wall, discussing Politics, listening to music. It was enriching.
