I'm confused about something else, but right now I'm pointlessly job searching. My mom said that if I find something that looks interesting and they interview me, I should just let them know that I won't be able to work until June. And that made me realize that I'm not going to be available to work for another 4 months, nearly 5 because Public Allies ends at the end of June. And THAT made me realize how messed up that is because usually all the good stuff is gone for the summer, and you're dealing with leftovers until about the end of August/early September.
Another thing - they keep saying that the economy is awful. I know people are getting laid off and everyone is afraid that they won't be able to get equal work, but it seems to me that there are a lot of job postings up everywhere. I've particularly been looking in CT, NY and Chi-town (just in case I really want to move there), and there are no end of jobs listed it seems. At least now - don't know how lucky I'll be 2-4 months from now. I guess if you're Mr. Rich who's been working a 70 thou plus job and just got laid off, then you are probably weeping about the 30 thou job cut you might have to take for another position, but personally as a recent college grad I am ready for any job that allows me to make enough to pay my loans. I can deal with other things later, when I am really an adult.
