So I'm going out tonite. Like out out, to a bar. I hope it's fun. But seriously, I met this guy online and I like him. Or what he seems to be. I told some of my family that I wanted to meet him for a movie and they were all, "NO ! He's a serial killer!"
And then I was all, "But any random guy I meet could be a murderer!" As you all know, Jeffery Dahmer picked up his male victims at bars. Ted Bundy was killing women long before the advent of the internet. When I went out with Garfield (shiver at that name), I didn't know him from Jenkins except that he wanted to go out with me. He could have taken me wherever he wanted in his car, did what he wanted to me (because he's stronger) and ditched my body in the seas. At some point, whether you meet a guy online, in a forum, in a bar or at the park, he's going to be a damn stranger.
And I know now that what I was thinking of doing was foolish, but seriously as long as I meet him in a public place where there's witnesses and bring reinforcements (some kind of knife, stapler, scissors, maybe the old Bridgeport faithful blade under the tongue lol) and don't go anywhere with him in his car, it should be fine. They're freaking out. I'm a little spooked, but I'm willing to give it a try. If not for a date, then at least to make a new friend.
