So, my mom doesn't like the name Maya. She thinks it'll be too confusing because my cousin's dog is named Mia. Not that my mom has to like the name necessarily, but if she's going to be calling the dog by the wrong name, then that'll just be a big mess. Looks like it's back to square one. A couple people suggested waiting until I bring the dog home

Hmm, back to the drawing board for the name, huh? We knew we wanted to name Jack his name because our last name is Daniel. Get it - Jack Daniel. ;) Do you want to name her a NAME or can it be anything?

See, I always assumed I'd get a male when I finally got my German Shepherd, and I had names picked out for males. But my mom said she'd prefer it if I got a female dog, so now I'm at a loss. Your dog just seems like a Jack, and it's much better to name your dog Jack than one of your kids when you take your last name into consideration. It's amusing for a pet, not so much for a kid. LOL.

I guess her name can be anything. I mean, my cats are Smokey and Bandit (though they didn't start out with those names). I just really like names that either sound really cool or have a really cool meaning behind them (or both).

We named Archie Bill and called him that for the first three days before my mother decided she absolutely would not call a dog Bill. (This is years before she met her new husband, Bill, by the way.)

NEW HUGE BOOK!

Did we ever consider Luna? I can't remember. Gaia might also be cool but may be too mythological. And Juno would be cool if it weren't a movie about a pregnant teen.

The thing about the huge books is that I only used them to transport my movies to and from school when I lived on campus (can you imagine if I didn't have the books!?). I have all of the cases to each movie, and those are what are all over the place and taking over. LOL. I hope to someday have someplace to display them all. I'm very proud of my collection. I don't like that I have to hide it in those books. LOL. Plus, it makes it REALLY tedious to keep them in alphabetical order in the books when I'm constantly adding to my collection. haha.

I do kinda like Luna. I had ruled out Gaia because it just didn't seem like a good dog name. And Juno the movie totally did ruin Juno the name! LOL. Maybe I will just wait to bring her home and see if a name kind of chooses itself. I will certainly keep you posted though! haha.
