TROY
So I went with Clinton and Ali and saw Troy the other night and I am a bit disappointed....why you ask? these things made me mad...
1. Hector kills Menelaus....I don't believe that was supposed to happen...
2. This chick Briseis, who has supposedly given herself to the God Apollo, and she isn't Cassandra...and though she did give herself to Apollo she still manages to have a distrubing sex scene with Brad Pitt (Achilles)
3. So Briseis...she kills Agamemnon which is so confusing...I am sure he didn't die...not then at least, not during the war...
4. Paris gets away with his lovely Helen...I am not sure if maybe too many tiny bopper girls would cry if Orlando Bloom was to die...Not to mention the show down between Paris and Menelaus...for some reasonParis is a weak man and can't fight him but within days he is able to shoot a bow and arrow as if he was Legolas Greenleaf... how ironic
5. for a war that lasted ten years it seemed like only a month...they could have at least made Hectors son get older instead of staying as a baby the whole time.
And that is all for my bashing. Good fighting, good war scene....but lets try to follow what Homer really wrote next time....
