Thanks! I loved my Euro-trip! Definitely an adventure of a lifetime. I didn't actually get to go to Pierrefonds though. Or I did, but I probably woke up. xD
We were at the south of France for three days in May and I suddenly thought that it'd be really great if I skipped everything to stalk watch the Merlin cast. It was only my wishful thinking. Looking back, I'm kind of glad I didn't drop everything and go. For all I knew, they could've been in Cardiff then and my trip would have been wasted. BUT DAMMIT TO BE SO CLOSE AND STILL SO FAAAR-- D:
Reading Les Misérables took my breath away! Due to a local film festival in my home country, foreign films aren't allowed to premiere in our cinemas until the 2nd week of January. Right now, I'm avoiding Tumblr and other websites in case they contain spoilers. Also, teehee, I'm a bit of a purist so I definitely recommend reading the book. It's such a rich and (LONG ASS) amazing novel. but I have to warn you. The title is a pretty big spoiler in itself. ;D
I'm actually thinking of watching OUaT! Honestly, I stopped watching Merlin during the second half of S4 and pretty much only tuned in to 3 episodes of S5. The character assassinations and glaring inconsistencies turned me off. Nowadays, I pour all my energy into obsessing over Colin. =))
I love Victor Hugo, but yeah, after 1700+ pages or so, a lot of people think he needs an editor lol. I'm so excited for the movie and honestly can't wait for the festival to be over. Somehow, despite using LJ, I'm still completely unspoiled for everything Les Miz YAY THERE'S THAT
Pierrefonds looks so beautiful. I wish I could meet other fellow Merlin fans as well. We're not too plenty here where I come from. I managed to get some of my friends into the show sometime around S1 and S2, but that's because I was actually still enjoying most episodes. Now, there just seems to be no point. :(
On the other hand, I'm really pumped up for all these fests we're having, especially paperlegends! Do you usually join these things or..? :)
Yay! I might put up a post one of these days featuring the Original French album of Les Misérables. It's my favorite soundtrack for the musical. It sounds really beautiful and not a lot of people know it exists, so... :)
I write original fiction and non-fiction in RL, but no matter how hard I try, I cannot write fics. :( I tried once while I was getting into the show, but it backfired on me really badly. It's one of those things I start with high hopes and ambitions, which later ends with a great deal of horror and embarrassment and backspacing from my end. But I'm looking forward to all these fests and the possibilities we can explore! I love reading fic. A bit too much. xD
Btw, just a bit of a heads-up: do any major characters die in OUaT?
