started butchery this week. it's REALLY cold. i literally wear 4 layers to class. At first I was kind of scared because Chef Stazi's one of those types similar to Rapp who doesn't like it if you stand around, but I like him because he's whipping my classmates(and me as well) into shape. thank you for you words of encouragement. i'm probably making excuses, but I'm too lazy about commuting especially when there's no parking and I have to take the bus.

read an interesting article about an interview w/ Charlie Trotter. This is what he said, "I don't understand people who spend their twenties hanging out in bars and going to football games. That stuff is so boring compared to really applying yourself to what you do. All of a sudden, I turned around one day, and I was 30. And I had a level of understanding of my craft that I never would have had if I hadn't worked so hard. Plus, if you love what you do, then it's not even work." It helps to keep me inspired and not feeling bad for not partying when i think i should. I usually feel compelled to party when I have something I need to get out of my system, but I don't really have anything that I need to get out of my system.

If you're planning to visit SF this weekend, I'm still down for a movie.
