i'm going to pack lightly.
(this entry is pretty boring and almost only for my own future reference, just like most of my entries.)
the flights are booked,
the hotel reservations are made,
and the rental car business is in order.
i'm so ready to get out of huntington.
indiana u:
next thursday right after school, i will drive down to lexington. the next morning, my dad and i will take turns driving the way to bloomington, indiana. we will check in at the hotel, eat dinner, see the city, go to bed early. saturday morning, i will report to the school of music for a day of auditioning, placement testing, interviewing, and attending introductory whatevers. either that evening or the following morning, we will drive back to lexington, and i will then drive myself home in time to watch the superbowl.
u of north texas:
on thursday, february 9th, i will drive myself down to lexington again. late friday morning, my dad and i will fly down to dallas texas. repeat indiana scenario (except we're going to denton, tx) until you get to saturday evening. i plan to head back to dallas that evening and check out whatever's cool there. we fly back to lexington sunday in plenty of time for me to take a nap and then head on home.
florida state and ohio state:
february 16th, once again a thursday, my mother will drive me down to lexington and drop me off at the airport. i'll be flying to tallahassee, fl, by myself this time. same stuff as above, flying back to lexington on sunday. as soon as i get back on sunday, dad and i will head to columbus, oh, and on monday i will have an audition and a scholarship competition there. we'll drive back to lexington monday evening, and when i get there, my mother will be waiting to drive me on home to huntington. (the next day, i have all county rehearsal all day. joy.)
it's going to be so hectic, so busy, and i know some of the auditions are going to be horrible.. but, if all else fails, i'm already in at marshall for music ed, and i can just go there if i fail miserably elsewhere. indiana and texas i'm just looking at for the experience now, mostly; i'll be incredibly proud of myself if i get in at either of those schools. i really want to go to fsu, and if i don't go there, i'll probably go to osu. lovely. i also have my yeager scholars interview this saturday.. but i don't care about it because i don't even really want that. i guess if i get it, i may accept it.. but i may not. it's just so much work.
