School ended for me on Monday! I am soo excited... so far though I've been busy in that I haven't been busy kind of way. Monday nite after my one class (we got back our Jpn tests... 87% ohh yeah!) I went to Machida where I walked around for quite awhile. I went to Book Off and found an Eastern Youth CD, the awesome Face to Face CD (Don't Turn Away) and an Electric Eel Shock CD for around 20$ US. Good deal for Japan!! I also ate some delicious kimuchi ramen at the ramen shop and sat in the sitting area of a department store and watched people walk around outside. Then met with friends where we did karaoke, picture club!, played arcade, etc.

Tuesday was.. ohh yeah I met Ash for coffee. We talked a lot, and then went to the ramen shop where I ate kimuchi ramen again! It was great, the ramen shop was playing Japanese thrash-punk on the stereo. It made me smile. That night was my new host dad's birthday, so we went out for dinner at a Japanese restaurant... I ate udon which I absolutely love. Hmmm why is this paragraph turning into one about food??? As you can see, I really love Japanese food... and so does my growing waist. hehehe

Yesterday, I went to my old family's house and Shotaro gave me a Japanese language lesson. We have a thing worked out where we get together and he teaches me some grammer point from my 2nd year KU textbook so I get to learn some new Japanese and in exchange he gets to speak in English so he doesnt forget it. Its awesome... and afterwards I was totally using more Japanese than I usually do! I felt soooo good...then I came home and could read part of the newspaper (like 10 kanji, some in combinations!! The newspaper is almost impossible to read for foreigners... even for some Japanese folks) I impressed my host sister. And I felt good about my skills... for like the first time since I've been here.

Today Im going to help my host sister wax the floors! This house is totally made of wood... its like a log cabin kind of.. well more like an artists retreat. So everything is hardwood.... and we get the pleasure of moving all the shit out of each room, waxing the floor, and putting it all back! Don't you wish you were me today?? Afterwards, I think her and I are going to go to Machida station for a couple drinks at TGI Fridays, where they have happy hour from 5-7. So I can look forward to that as im polishing floors.

I need to reinstall my picture downloading software cuz for some reason it no longer exists on my computer and in exchange for that I have this weird ass photo program that sucks big time. I think it ate my good one. Weird huh? I just hope I dont have another virus.

Endnotes:

I really love Japan, but I really really really love LAWRENCE KS!
