Day 9
Actual Graduation.
Tonight was nice. We held graduation at the school this time and we held it at night instead of during the day. My hair looked cute. (I was worried it wouldn't.) I had a kind of swoopy, updo thing going on with a cute bang. I and this other teacher did a welcome speech. Well, it was the same speech, I did it in English and she did it in Spanish. I was the emcee at the last minute. The valedictorian made a great, heart-felt speech. He gave out roses to his family and a few teachers. There were a ton of kids graduating and we hugged and shook hands with all of them. I kind a little misty, but I didnt full out cry. I'll see them tomorrow when they come to get their yearbooks.
I'm going to miss the kids. I really am. They are one of my favorite classes. A few of them came to school today and they loved their envelopes. I actually heard, "I'm going to keep these forever."
I wore a purple blouse and a pair of white dress pants. They were super cute. I never wear white pants, and I took them off as SOON as I got home.
Two more days until the summer. Although I do have conferences and a week of summer school to teach, so I wont be totally free.
I have an assignment due tomorrow. I have to stay focused to get it finished. Its a transaction worksheet. I'm getting tired of balance sheets, cash flow statements and the other one.
