I just heard on the news that one of my coworkers at [retail job] was murdered overnight. Five men knocked on his door, probably in an attempt to break in and rob the house, but he refused to let them in, so they shot him and left him dead in his driveway.
He was an incredibly hard-working young man. He worked in the stockroom, but was always willing to help anyone out in the store if we needed it, and he was incredibly polite and well-mannered. I can't really wrap my brain around it. I've been crying for like half an hour now, but I still can't believe it.
