Been a while...
Wow it's been a while since I updated you all on here. Things are going well here in Chicago. I just got a new job, working for DSW Shoes, lol, so you can imagine how scared my roommates are that my shoes are now going to overrun the apartment, which is a VERY valid fear now that I'll have a discount, haha! I'm also up for another part time job working for the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, and i REALLY want this job so I need as much good energy as I can get from you all, because this job pays really well. I love being this close to the Brotherhood, and I'm finally getting to use my voice again. I helped lead the chants for our last ritual, and did a duet with Matthew Ellenwood recently as well. They have decided to make me a regular part of ritual, and that makes me happy too. I also have a new boyfriend that I met thru the Brotherhood. He is a member of The Temple of the Four Winds here in Chicago named Brent. He's a really great guy too, has been treating me really well, and I like him a lot. Obviously if I'm breaking my dating hiates for him, lol. I don't really know what else to say about what's going on in my life. I went to visit my parents and my brothers over Thanksgiving, and I was really surprised how smoothly everything went. I saw my Uncle Ron for the first time in like 15 years and we had a beer together, haha. I'm not usually a beer drinker but it was a special occasion. I also got to meet my youngest brother's girlfriend, and omg is she gorgeous. It makes me proud to call him my brother, lol. I spent all day the Saturday after with my Mom, and we actually had a really good time together shopping. Went to the mall and several thrift stores, and for the first time in years we went thru a whole day just enjoying eachothers company and bonding over the things we actually have in common instead of focusing on all our differences. It was really nice. Other than that it was just nice to see my family again after almost a year away. I sang at my Mom and Dad's church that Sunday as well. My other brother's ex-girlfriend came too, and I was really happy to see her. I don't care how many girls Ben dates, I don't think he'll ever find one as good as she was, and I'm very pissed at hm for not staying with her. I hate his new girlfriend too. She's one of those really holier than thou christians that looks down her nose at everything that's different from her, and I find her to be completely detestable. Lol, not like my opinion of her really matters in the long run anyway. If he likes her he's gonna stay with her, whether I like it or not. I just won't be getting invited over for Christmas once the parents are gone. Oh well, Phil and I will have our own family Christmas where we don't feel judged by our other brother's you know what of a wife, lol. Anyways, I'm starting to go off on tangents so I suppose it's about time to end this, but all in all things are well. Hope all is well for all of you. Love and peace!!
